Tree Blossoms

"Tree Blossoms" is an expressive piece of ART, utilizing painting choices for IMPASTO, bold color, texture, & sculptural effects.  The six choices of the ARTIST included the following:

1) painting with a loaded brush, using IMPASTO--paint applied thickly creating a textured surface and striking effects . . .

2) painting with a palette knife, providing mixtures & colors of paint, while creating and sculpting . . .

3) painting using stippling -- for softer edges--toned down differences between color & value shapes . . .

4) painting straight from the tube--easy to sculpt, because of high oil content & thickness of texture . . .

5) painting detail, variation & building texture, once the under layers dry . . .

6) painting in the shadows, using a dry brush technique, by dragging light & dark paint over the build-up underlay of IMPASTO, emphasizing the texture . . .

The ARTIST painted with bold color--giving meaning to the ARTWORK--creating Expressive ART.
